This group was run for everyone who is interested in
the Great french Revolution (1789-99)
But we as well aprreciate further french revolutions:
July Revolution (1830) known as "Three Glorious Days" and described in Victor Hugo's novel "Les miserables"
February Revolution of 1848 which commenced Spring of Nations in Europe
The Paris Commune of 1871
We are awarned that each revolution was led by similar ideas and reasons.
Each one fought for overall freedom, freedom of speech and freedom of press.
Glorious slogans enlightened minds of revolutionaries but unfortunately very often pushed them to the radical resolutions. We can't forget those shortcomings, but we can understand the reasons as crisis, little knowledge about politics and danger of foreign superpowers.
Instead of casting their mistakes, we can value revolutionary achievments provided by those, who wanted the world to be better: democratical and fair.

5.04.1794
The famous "Danton case" ended this day exactly 217 years ago. We aren't here to sue anybody, to blame the Committees or accuse them of lawlessness, or on the contrary claim that Dantonists were guilty. THAT'S NOT A CASE.
We are here to show the respect to people who we may admire greatly (it, of course, depends on our politcal views), and who payed for the freedom with their lives.
On 5th May 1794 after 6 days of fretful trial Dantonists were led to the scaffold and beheaded. Among those 15 men we could find:
Georges-Jacques Danton - the man of the August 10th, minister of justice in the newly proclaimed republic
Camille Desmo
